YOGA CLASSES IN MALDON

Within my yoga classes in Maldon, I offer a variety of sessions designed to suit all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Whether you’re new to yoga or have years of experience, you’ll find a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space. I teach several styles, including Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin yoga, and tailor each class to meet the unique needs of my students. You’ll never feel out of placeβ€”I’m committed to ensuring your comfort and providing modifications that work for your body. Each class begins with heartfelt intentions, helping you feel the benefits of yoga from the very first session.

Beginners are more than welcome! I can modify your practise so that you progress gradually, in your own time, and in ways that suit your body type and capabilities. Please know that I offer an open and welcoming space for all levels, and you are invited.

Hatha Yoga is more slow, but the postures are held for longer. This helps you to feel more grounded and stable. The balance of the body will help you feel centered in the mind. Over time, regular practise helps you to feel more resilient, calm and in control.

If you’re wanting more of a workout, try my Vinyasa class. We speed things up in this class, and you may even break a sweat! Again, all levels are welcome as I can modify your practise to your needs. Vinyasa is good for a greater calorie burn and toning.

Do I need experience to attend a class?

No, definitely not. Anyone can attend my classes, at any level. I can adapt my classes to suit your individual needs. Don’t forget, we all have to start somewhere! I’ve had many beginners that really enjoy the class and stick with it, and a lot of them surprise themselves!

Do I need to bring my own mat?

It’s not a requirement as we do provide mats, however for your own comfort you may wish to bring your own 😊

Do I need to be flexible?

Definitely not, no. Most students start off feeling very stiff and not flexible at all. You can take it very easy at the start, and as you progress you’ll find that your body adapts and that you’re capable of moving deeper into your stretches.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, breathable clothing. Try not to wear clothing which is too tight if possible. I want you to have the best experience possible in my Yoga classes, so please ensure you feel comfortable in your clothing.

What if I have injuries or medical condition?

Please ensure to let me know before you book. We can talk through any injuries or ailments, and will agree a suitable approach for you, whether that be a modified practise or some extra time for you to rest before joining the class.

Can I practise Yoga?

Of course you can! Yoga is an amazing practise, and I really think that everyone should be doing it – no matter what gender, size, shape, body type you are. Yoga is accessible for everyone! “That ache and stiffness, all gone.”

I really enjoyed class today. I came in with a sore upper back and stiffness and wondered how I’d get through the class. Surprise surprise, I came out feeling so much better. That ache and stiffness, all gone. I’m looking forward to tomorrows morning class. Thank you.

“My flexibility has improved immensely”

I have been a weightlifter for 40+ years and although big and strong I am not very flexible. I started yoga with Jaqui a month ago and my flexibility has improved immensely. Gents you really need to add this to your training schedule..
