Types of yoga classes offered
Beginners Yoga in Maldon
Beginners are more than welcome! I can modify your practise so that you progress gradually, in your own time, and in ways that suit your body type and capabilities. Please know that I offer an open and welcoming space for all levels, and you are invited.
Hatha Yoga in Maldon
Hatha Yoga is more slow, but the postures are held for longer. This helps you to feel more grounded and stable. The balance of the body will help you feel centered in the mind. Over time, regular practise helps you to feel more resilient, calm and in control.
Vinyasa Yoga in Maldon
If you’re wanting more of a workout, try my Vinyasa class. We speed things up in this class, and you may even break a sweat! Again, all levels are welcome as I can modify your practise to your needs. Vinyasa is good for a greater calorie burn and toning.
Yin Yoga in Maldon
Yin Yoga is a restorative practise, and is beneficial for the times when you feel the need for some relaxation. We spend our weeks constantly on the go, so this practise helps you to slow down the body and find inner stillness. Yin Yoga creates a feeling of deep relaxation.
FAQs
Do I need experience to attend a class?
No, definitely not! Anyone can attend my classes, at any level. I can adapt my classes to suit your individual needs.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
Yes please. There may sometimes be spares but I cannot always guarantee. Safest bet its to bring your own π
Do I need to be flexible?
Nope! Most students start off feeling very stiff and not flexible at all. You can take it very easy at the start, and as you progress you’ll find that your body adapts and that you’re capable of moving deeper into your stretches.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, breathable clothing. Try not to wear clothing which is too tight if possible. I want you to have the best experience possible in my Yoga classes, so please ensure you feel comfortable in your clothing.
What if I have injuries or medical condition?
That’s fine, just let me know before the class. I will ensure to talk you through certain postures which may help to avoid or alleviate any pain.
Can I practise Yoga?
Of course you can! Yoga is an amazing practise, and I really think that everyone should be doing it – no matter what size, shape, body type you are. Yoga is accessible for everyone! Join my Yoga class in Maldon and see for yourself π
