My Travels

On the morning of October 21st 2025, I felt so many different emotions. I knew I’d be flying away that afternoon and beginning my solo travelling adventures, but I didn’t know what was in store for me, and I couldn’t help but feel a deep sadness, knowing that I’d be so far away from home, from family, and from everything that I knew.

For how long? I had no idea. But I’ll never forget the feeling that my world and my identity was going to transform in ways I could never have imagined.

I left behind my family, and my yoga business which I’d grown for 3 years, in pursuit of “expansion”. That’s what I told myself anyway – that my soul yearned for more. I wanted to see and experience more of life, and it seems that what I already had wasn’t quite enough to keep me satisfied.

Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way..

So my travels began in Goa. Upon arriving I felt like a fish out of water, a little on-edge and insecure, with being a white blonde female in a foreign Asian country. But after the first day or so I started finding my bearings. I’d met a couple of other travellers here and there, and I breathed a sigh of relief, with a feeling of excitement for all the experiences I would encounter in the beautiful southern part of Goa.

I ended up cat-sitting for 5 weeks or so, which was amazing, because it gave me the safety of a stable accommodation, along with 2 beautiful furbabies that kept me company.

I made many friends during my time in Goa, and had experiences that I’ll never forget. I’m so grateful for the time I spent there. It was truly magical. A big thank you to my friend Diane, who helped me with accommodation when I first arrived, and really helped me to settle in with the Goan lifestyle.
